About Us
The Movement For Life® Team is made up of locally managed clinics, regionally named San Luis Sports Therapy, Delta Physical Therapy, Central Valley Physical Therapy, Athlon Physical Therapy and Avid Physical Therapy. Established in 1959 as San Luis Sports Therapy and Orthopedic Rehabilitation in San Luis Obispo, California, the Team is currently comprised of close to 200 team members from diverse backgrounds striving to improve the lives of those they touch. Boasting Board Certified, Doctoral educated practitioners; the Movement For Life® team is able to apply current and effective treatment paradigms in a healthy, healing atmosphere, encouraging progress.
The Movement For Life® Team operates under a unique “Collaborative Model” where the motto “All for one and one for all!” rings true. All of the profits generated by our Team are invested back into our Company and the Communities we serve rather than being siphoned off to owners or corporate shareholders. Team members receive annual “profit sharing” contributions in addition to the robust creation of opportunities tailored to team members’ specific goals and aspirations. We work together towards common goals for mutual benefit!
The company headquarters continue to be located in beautiful San Luis Obispo, California on the Central Coast with quality rehabilitation services provided in convenient locations throughout California and Arizona. In San Luis Obispo and Northern Santa Barbara Counties, we are known as San Luis Sports Therapy and Orthopedic Rehabilitation. In the San Joaquin Valley our clinic is known as Central Valley Physical Therapy and in the delta region of California, we are known as Delta Physical Therapy. In Arizona we are known as Athlon Physical Therapy and at our newest location in the Coachella Valley of California we operate as Avid Physical Therapy. The Movement For Life® Team continues to be owned and operated by physical therapists.

Go Red for Women (American Heart Association)
In support for Go Red for Women along with Delta Physical Therapy and Central Valley Physical Therapy and nationally sponsored by Macy’s and Merck we join the fight against heart disease in February. Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of American women. Wear red and jeans to work, make a donation of $5.00 or more. Stop by one of the local Clinics in Galt, Lodi or Stockton to make a donation. Join the movement of women who are raising awareness about heart disease and taking action to stop it. All proceeds benefit the American Heart Association.
American Heart Association Walk
The Annual San Joaquin Heart Walk is brought to Delta Physical Therapy and Central Valley Physical Therapy. The event is held in October and includes a 3.5 mile walk/run. Upon the walkers return, there is food, musical entertainment, health fair and a kid’s zone. All proceeds benefit the American Heart Association.
American Heart Association along with Delta Physical Therapy and Central Valley Physical Therapy work everyday and move closer to the goal of reducing the incidence of heart disease in the community.
Pink October and Geweke Caring for Women Foundation
Pink October in partnership with Delta Physical Therapy and Central Valley Physical Therapy events include VIPink Survivor Fashion Show at Wine and Roses Hotel, Restaurant and Spa, Scramble for a Cure Golf Tournament at The Reserve Spanos Park and Race for Awareness at Geweke Toyota takes place in October in Lodi/Stockton. All three events honor courageous women who fought vigilantly for their lives against breast cancer. The money raised from the three events goes toward a new foundation formed in 2008 Geweke Caring for Women Foundation in Lodi. This money goes to local women who are breast cancer survivors who are struggling with financial needs such as firewood to heat their homes, rent, funal expenses, car repairs, mortgage payment, PG&E bills, medication and so much more. We all work closing with the following partners Ben Schaffer Cancer Center, Delta Sierra Hematology and Oncology, St. Joseph Medical Center, Hospice of San Joaquin and American Cancer Society.
Pink October endeavors to bring breast cancer awareness to women and the importance of self-exams and yearly mammograms for women 40 and older.
