Jason was born in San Luis Obispo, CA and grew up in Atascadero, CA where he graduated from Atascadero High School. Jason received his Associates Degree of Science from Cuesta Community College in San Luis Obispo. He then moved to Sacramento, CA and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education with a Pre-Physical Therapy concentration from California State University Sacramento. He then moved to The Netherlands where he attended Hanzehogeschool, Hogeschool van Groningen where he received his post-graduate degree in Physical Therapy. Having attended school in the Netherlands, he received a strong background in orthopedic manual therapy and progressive therapeutic exercise. Jason has a wide range of work experience in many different settings within Physical Therapy having worked in Oregon, Texas and California. Through continuing education he is regularly expanding his knowledge in the area. He is currently licensed in California, Montana and the European Union. Jason started with San Luis Sports Therapy in 2002 and is currently the Director of the Paso Robles office. Jason is married, and he and his wife Serena welcomed their first child in October 2004. His wife is also a Physical Therapist working for San Luis Sports Therapy.

The following is the path of education and experiences that has brought Serena DeTienne Roda, licensed Physical Therapist, to be a part of San Luis Sports Therapy & Orthopedic Rehabilitation, Paso Robles, CA office. Born and raised in Montana, she graduated valedictorian of Capital High School, Helena, MT, 1992. An alumni of Carroll College, Helena, MT where Serena received a Bachelor of Arts: Major Biology and Minor Chemistry, May 1997. She then attended Hanzehogeschool, Hogeschool van Groningen, The Netherlands, physiotherapy school focusing on orthopedic manual therapy and progressive therapeutic exercise, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in April 2000. Work experience in physical therapy includes a variety of clinical settings (inpatient and outpatient neurological and orthopedic rehabilitation) experiencing patients of all ages in New Jersey, Texas, Oregon and now California. Serena recently married Jason A. Roda, a California native to the Central Coast and also a practicing Physical Therapist. She truly enjoys her work as a physical therapist focusing on orthopedic rehabilitation and also enjoys leisure outdoor sporting activities.

Colleen is a sixth generation San Luis Obispo County native. She received her Bachelor's of Science in Kinesiology from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. While attending Cal Poly, Colleen worked in the athletic training room as a student trainer, worked for San Luis Sports Therapy as physical therapy aide and office manager, was certified as a health and fitness instructor from the American College of Sports Medicine, and obtained her massage therapy certification. In May 2006, Colleen graduated from the University of Southern California with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. While attending USC she obtained a wide range of physical therapy experience including neuro rehab, pediatrics, inpatient and outpatient orthopedics, and wound care. Colleen is excited to back on the central coast, returning to San Luis Sports Therapy, and is continuing her education in areas such as manual therapy, women's health, and plans to become certified as an Orthopedic Certified Specialist.

Jen was born and raised in Southern California. After high school, she moved to Northern California to attend UC Davis and received a Bachelors degree in Animal Biology with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology. While attending UC Davis, Jen completed internships in cardiac rehabilitation and outpatient physical therapy and worked as a physical therapy aide in an outpatient clinic. Jen then returned to So Cal and received her DPT at Chapman University. At Chapman, she gained experience in areas such as inpatient acute care, outpatient neuro and outpatient orthopedics. She also had the opportunity to spend 10 weeks in Costa Rica learning Spanish and working in an outpatient clinic with Costa Rican Physical Therapists. Jen is looking forward to spending many years working at San Luis Sports Therapy.
